BP Gusher Oil Crisis
Many people seem surprised that this oil spill even happened, but why? Do we not know that there are hundreds of off shore drilling units all over the Gulf of Mexico? So one of them messed up… what’s the big deal?? Not like there is only one out there, there are hundred and hundreds of them! All over the world you have these wells that are constantly operating… This oil spill is nothing compared to what could happen to our waters. We complain about pollution and people destroying our ozone well oil doesn't do just that… it destroys the very water we need to survive. With this one.. ONE oil spill who knows the number of ecosystems is fractured or in some cases destroyed completely. Is this worth it? Even more sad is the company BP a couple years ago acquired another gas company and tries to brand itself as an ECO type of oil. Well I don't know how far you could be on the polar opposite of your million dollar advertising campaign. This really is not the end of these spills, simply a foreshadowing of what’s to come in our future. A lot of people are saying something bad will happen in 2012, may be the case and with the number of horrific things slowly coming on I see no reason why something worse couldn't happen. What if there was a huge earthquake along the same line that a large chunk of oil drills are at? Then what? It's not like you can clean it up… We need to stop plundering this world for every natural resource and not only using the world but spitting at it at the same time! We don't need to simply consider… we need to USE hydrogen fuel cell technology as a new wave into the developmental stages of not this country, not this continent but this world! I just don't know at what point will commercial companies begin to care less about their investors’ pockets and more about the health of this world. As the Dow and NASDAQ drop this week I have to wonder… our stability relies on a gamble.. a gamble where the invested interest lies with destroying ourselves… the very world we live in! If a company is not doing well, it needs to fail! We need to stop rescuing companies and let them fail but not only sit back but encourage. Hydrogen fuel cell technology is a great avenue to pursue this new arena! Barack Obama mentioned a lot of this but I have yet to see it happen. I still drive my junky Honda Accord that burns gas like its no bodies business. I would buy a new care if somehow we could fix the gas issue, or maybe if they figured out a simple alternative that attaches to the current cars to allow them to run on new type of material. In the end.. Time for a change or not only will the animals on this earth pay the consequences but we will as well.

Oil Prices
Almost a year ago it seems that oil prices in the US ended up being lowered to a "fair price." Which now only means that people, who may have been forced to consider alternative vehicles, are now starting to go back to their old ways. There needs to be some kind of movement, some kind of push in the US towards a greener environment. I see no reason why all public transportation is still relying on oil in most large cities. Don't we as a country see these vehicles as a form of destruction? In these cases, the government and the big companies are to blame, not a single individual who may be driving one car. Granted everyone should consider alternatives but if the government wants to be taken seriously, shouldn't they be the first ones to change? If I see buses all over my city parading non stop spewing toxic fumes into the atmosphere, why would I want to change? Why would I even care about hydrogen fuel cell technology? I think it all comes down to profit and large companies that control change. A big change may be a good PR moves but for most it doesn't seem to be economically a positive outcome. Also lets say we do get rid of all these oil bases buses, where do we store them? How do we dispose of them? It would be more amazing if someone came up with a device that alters a normal vehicle to a transportation element that uses less gas and perhaps uses hydrogen fuel! Why can't we simply modify the things we have now? It would save a lot of money and I'm sure that more people would be open to the idea! Hydrogen fuel cells have a great way of working in South America, why can't we! Isn't the US supposed to be the greatest? At this point we seem to be not only one of the biggest countries, but also one of the biggest polluters. The carbon footprint of an average US individual is substantially higher than any other in this world, why is this element being ignored! It is time for change, but not simply politically, it's time for innovation! Where are all the engineers of the world, lets get them together and I bet they could come up with something. If it's a matter of money, who cares! Give it to them! As most people would say about their health, it's your health, you only live once, and you simply have to pay the price. Don't die wondering when or if change could have happened, this world was not meant to be ravaged and used for its every element it has to offer! We either need a plan to move or fix what we started! The world will "fix" itself over time just like a human being, but if we keep prying at it, it will come to a point where the world will simply give out and die!

Hydrogen Fuel Cell Technology
Hydrogen fuel cell technology… the future or simply a slow down of our pace?
As societies all over the world depend more and more on the typical fuels such as coal and oil, we have to wonder at one point, are we exhausting this world's natural resources? At the rate, countries like the US are going, not only will our resources be gone but the weather and our entire world will be so messed up there will be no turning back. Now scientists have screamed this at the top of their lungs for more than a decade now, but nothing seems to be stopping the private companies from pushing the world into a final collapse.
Some people in this world have finally realized with what we are facing and have taken technology into their own hands, such as the development of alternative fuels. Hydrogen fuel to be exact. As hydrogen fuel cell technologies grow, they may actually provide this world with alternatives to the way we consume and create energy.
The next step is to fuse those clunky and noise polluting cars into hydrogen fuel cell based vehicles. The question comes down to, how soon will this really happen? Would it be possible for the government to subsidize the automotive industry, in the US, so that people can trade in their oil clunkers into automotive vehicles that help save our environment? The question remains one to be answered by the many. Private companies will never follow through with this as they have no true incentive. Even if lets say, 10 percent of the US population wants a green car, I highly doubt that the automotive industry in the US will consider new hydrogen fuel cell technology as a resource waiting to be tapped. My goal is to break down the use of hydrogen fuel cell technology and see how complicated would it really be to create a vehicle. I will also examine all information in the media (granted it's all pushed by the very same automotive companies) to find out more alternatives. If you have any questions about new hydrogen fuel cell technology, please do not hesitate to leave a comment.
Did you discover or read about something in the papers about a new use of hydrogen fuel cell technology? Tell me about it and we can examine it and share it with our readers. I thank everyone here for coming to visit!
